Endocrine Gland
Endocrine gland don’t have duct . This gland synthesis and secret hormones. This gland release hormone in the surrounding fluid then hormone further enters into blood circulation then to targeted organ. Here are few examples of endocrine gland – adrenal gland, thyroid gland, pituitary gland etc.
Exocrine Gland
Exocrine gland have Duct. Glandular part synthesise and secret a compound, with the help of duct this compund reaches to its desired location. Example of exocrine glands are Liver, Sweat gland, salivary gland, mammary gland etc.
Heterocrine Gland
Heterocrine gland is known as mixed gland . It has two parts one is exocrine and other is endocrine. Examples of this gland is pancreas where Acini is exocrine and islet of langerhans is endocrine, Testis and Ovary.
