What is the goal of yoga ?

The essence of yoga is a practical and scientific. It works wonders when integrated into our daily life. It works on all aspects of the person – the physical, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual. The different branches of yoga prescribe different approaches and techniques, but ultimately lead to the same goal of enlightenment.

The goal of yoga is to align to the universal consciousness in order to experience freedom, joy & full consciousness. The world is what we think and believe it to be . It is subjective in essence a projection of what we feel it is, based on past experiences & conditionings. What we see in others is what we have inside, like a mirror that is only projecting what is inside.

The practice of yoga is based on the idea that we are eternal spiritual souls or atman, travelling within the vessel of this physical/ emotional body. The physical body considered the temple of the soul.

All yoga practices have the same goal or destination- the discovery and fulfillment of the human potential.
